winter esensh.

not that melbourne ever has a summer. Even when fore casted to be bright and sunny, somehow rain seeps through and i find myself drenched when dressed for the warm heat of the sun. f**k you melbourne, a big fat, f**ck YOU.

anyway, here are a few of my essentials this winter. My shoes are all scattered around the house at the moment, so the pic of the shoes really does not capture what I've really been living in the past few months, just what i found under my bed.

Coats, blazers and oversized jumpers are an absolute must.
Stockings- particularly my red paddington ones. so london.
Beanies,woolen headbands, turbans and berets.
Lots and lots of long, printed, plain, warm, etc scarves. I have 11 at the moment off the top of my head?

and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the harry potter books. can you imagine a winter without harry potter books? no? i thought so

L'oreal Melbourne fashion week

fiji '11

omgwtfbbq i went to fiji during the summer holidays and it was amazzzzzzzzing. we went for a week, our resort was like, ok, if you've ever watched the movie 'Getting over Sarah Marshall' and you're familiar with the resort they stay at, ours was exactly the same.

we had the best villa on resort overlooking the beach, more or less 35 degrees + everyday, fresh tropical fruits, motorbikes, sailing, kayaking, massages, coconuts, and argh i just miss it so much. it was the perfect holiday just before uni started.

I feel though a trip to thailand is due, just to follow suit and it's so super cheap.

BACK

wow yeah i suck i haven't posted in MONTHS mainly because i'm a downer and forgot that i ever created a blog. Actually, i didn't forget i ever created a blog, i just forgot how to be an organized person, so i never found the time or energy to sit down and properly work on just ONE blog entry.
BUT it is now the easter/mid sem holidays and i have so much work to do this entry is now or never. SO much has happened in the last, 3 months? I don't even know how long it's been!

EVERY weekend something has been on, and i keep telling myself that i need to take a few weekends off so i can catch up on sleep and save some god dam
n money. but some crazy person always comes along mid week and convinces me to go some crazy shindig on the weekend and i end up spending billions of dollars on cab rides, late night food and not to mention new outfits cause i'm a mass idiot like that.

so i'm going to post a few entries right after this one, it'll cover most the highlights throughout the last 4 months- cause you are all sooooooooo eager to find out.

oh and this is the cutest photo- two of my favourit-est things; baking and mr.west

3 am blog.

Been op shopping every week for almost 2 months. And when you op shop, you think, hey everything is soooo super cheap I'm going to stock the eff up. But it's not so much fun when you realize you've spent more than $200 in 2 months on OP SHOPPING! Who even does that! Anyway, I have completely run out of space in my wardrobe and am having to chuck out heaps of stuff that I love but know will never wear again. Sad moments.

Here is an update of some of my favourite pieces from my last op shop session.

Ruffle collared blouse, stops exactly at my belly. Not sure if I'm a fan of styling mid drift tee's this summer (mostly because I'm a fatty and have this cute little muffin top :D ) so this length is purrfect. $4.99

Blouse teamed with black dress underneath.

This oversized, lose knit is cute. Shoulder pads are perfect. Although a little see through (not sure if you can notice in the photo) definitely can underdress for something casual, or team with some jewels for something more glamourous. I'm thinking of sewing on some black and white jewels on the hem of the dress? - $6.99

LOVE this one. Red sparkly dress (easiest way to describe it?) Shoulder pads, again, perfect. This ones a little glam, probably wouldn't wear it out during the day. I'm thinking of sewing jewels onto this one as well? like V shape coming down from each shoulder. - $6.99
OH also, the shoes I'm wearing in all these pics are from Wittners. Probably going to be my summer '11 shoes. Gladiator Cloggs for the win.

Something to motivate any of you slacks out there into the new year. This is posted up on top of my desk. Head strong.

Cute!

So I cam across these cute photo's somewhere on the internet. Kind of like your everyday billion foot tall model, next to your not so average short and petite model. I also like the hair of both the models in the first picture. Very 1920's.

and here is a gay one of one of my besties and I at our year 12 formal like two years ago. I look nothing like that, and neither does she. But the point is- tall vs. small :)

Stalking

Always being a copy cat and following this lady bug. As promised, here is some of her taste for you freaks to stalk over. The first two photo's are her purchases from a Savers superstore. The third photo, brace yourself.

Cleo fucking patra. Bang.

Here's a link to her blog- http://everydaylikethis.blogspot.com

Merry Christmas!

So i obviously go through blog phases and I've had a few people giving me dirt for not blogging in so long and how I am not even blogspot worthy yada yada yada so, to all those kids who had a whine, shut up. This is going to be a bit of a massive entry, obviously. I think my deal, was that, I just couldn't be bothered taking pictures of every awesome item I pick up.

oh shit, Merry christmas everybody! Its about 7pm and my stomach is going to burst. We had a mass family lunch at Lysterfield Lake and there probably wasn't one second where I wasn't stuffing my face with bbq and cake, woooppppsss.

First up- a few of my very recent buys from the Brunswick Savers superstore! This trip was a little special as it was an outing with only my favouritest fashionista. I'll post some of her awesome style up for perves as well :)

THHHIIISS is one of my best op shop buys ever! It's a dress by I have no idea who? There was no tag on it when I found it. But If I could find out who it's by, well, a very enthusiastic shout out to you! Set me back $5.99. I have found Heaven's Dress. Its got a a layered scarf effect at the neck line, and puff stitched shoulders. No shoulder pads. In this photo I've teamed it with a belt.

And just so you can appreciate this dress as much as I do- here's a close up of the neck line and shoulders. Beautiful.

Just a plain gorget sleeveless blouse. It's actually a dark navy blue color. I enjoy the halter neck look. Something casual and dressy at the same time. Love.

This one is a funky vest, i think about $4? A little oversized, but still cool. When I first saw it, kind of reminded me of a south american poncho! Below is also a photo of one, so you can compare? *insert tapping hand to mouth making la la la la la noises*

Freaking amazing blazer for about $10. It's by D.I.O Petite. I love the double breast buttons the collar, the length, and the fact that the sleeves don't end at my wrists. I know winter season is over, but I had to have one of these in my closet. Definitely an essential.

So noooowwww moving onto items which were not found amongst the glory of Savers isles!
Just a floral sleeveless dress. I anything anything flora/fauna. Soft colors are always safe to wear. This dress was purchased from the Dotti store in DFO Moorabin.

Booties have become an essential in every shoedrobe now. I really enjoy the classic military look, but wanted something small and less intimidating. Small and petite rather than chunky and military. I picked these beauties up from Famous Footwear in Southland Westfield for a jaw dropping $40. Excuse all the dirt, I took this photo right after a game of pole tiggy at the park- aka alot of running and falling and dust kicking.

Cute little jumpsuit. $19.95 on sale from everyone's secret fav store- Valley girl. Pockets on either side, gold buttons and zips, sleeveless, and perfect. Can be teamed with flats for a casual fling round town, or heels and gold bling for a night out.

So I'll there are a couple of more things I want to share with you guys, but for OCD reasons, I'm going to put them in a separate entry as they are not clothing related. xx
